Infection Control
In this module, you will learn the principles of infection prevention and control and how they apply across all care environments. You will explore how infections spread, standard and transmission-based precautions, and the correct use of cleaning and disinfection procedures. The training emphasises safe practices to protect clients, staff, and visitors, as well as understanding outbreak management, isolation precautions, and your reporting responsibilities.

Mealtime Management - IDDSI
This module enhances your understanding of bowel anatomy and function and highlights the importance of consistent bowel routines in maintaining overall health. You will learn to recognise the signs of constipation, impaction or bowel obstruction and how to assist with prescribed interventions such as enemas, suppositories or digital stimulation under clinical guidance. The session also emphasises dignity, privacy and accurate documentation when managing complex bowel care.

Medication Competency
This training provides the knowledge and understanding required to safely support medication administration under supervision. You will learn about medication types, the “seven rights” of medication safety, recognising side effects and the importance of accurate documentation. The course also emphasises your responsibility to promptly report medication errors or omissions and to maintain professional boundaries when supporting clients with their medication routines.

PPE and Hand Hygiene
In this module, you will learn the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and effective hand hygiene techniques. You will understand when and how to apply gloves, masks, gowns and eye protection, as well as how to safely remove and dispose of PPE to prevent cross-contamination. The training also covers the “Five Moments for Hand Hygiene” and reinforces your role in maintaining a clean, safe and infection-free care environment.

SIRS
This module will teach you about the Serious Incident Response Scheme and your obligations under aged care and disability legislation. You will learn how to recognise, respond to and report incidents that may cause harm, abuse or neglect. The training emphasises timely reporting, accurate documentation and clear communication with management, ensuring that all incidents are managed transparently and contribute to continuous improvement in care quality and safety.
